It's the best time of the year and Dubrovnik is busy again. The day before Christmas is especially festive: everybody puts on their best clothes, people walk in groups, sound louder and excited. The Christmas house booths offer sausages, prikle and mulled wine, as well as local liqueurs. On that day people go out to meet friends and relatives and celebrate outdoors. There is a lot of music and laughing, and a lot of dancing in the evening. Stradun, the main street in old Dubrovnik was the best place to be on that day and night!
On Christmas it was a lovely time spent with beloved family members, unwrapping our Christmas presents.
And now we are excited about the upcoming welcoming of the new 2019, with hope that it will be a peaceful year full of joy and full of wonderful new beginnings for all of us!
